In this video you can see footage of a Mountain Ash tree removal in the Dandenong Ranges. ACE Tree Management have been removing dangerous trees and some of the tallest dead trees along one of the major tourist roads in the Dandenong Ranges region. At present this area has some of the tallest 100 year old regrowth eucalyptus regnans trees in Victoria and on mainland Australia. These trees can be found along this stretch of the Sassafras Creek Reserve, reaching heights up to 84m with many neighbouring trees around the 80m mark. With the main road closed for a week due from the tree work and the environmental weed removal, the drone was able to capture epic aerial footage of this rare area from above showing its deep lush fern gullies, the green lower understories and its famous towering Mountain Ash gum tree forest in all its winter colours.
